Preliminary data for the Model 18A VC Expander:
The M18A is a feature add-on for the Model 18 Stereo Mixer. It provides four VC inputs (one per channel) for both level and panning of the M18 and connects easily to the mothership, requiring only a single ribbon cable and jumper replacment to be fully operational. For this reason, the M18A was designed to sit next to the M18 on either it's left or right side. Along with the main internal outputs ribbon connector, the M18A is also equipped with an internal stacking buss so that mutliple VC Expanders can be connected to a single Model 18.
The M18A incoporates the utra-quiet LM13700 Transconductance Amplifier and adds the functionality of four fully independent VCAs and stereo panners to the M18 Stereo Mixer.
The M18A is scheduled for a Spring 2006 release date.
